It was agreed that two members on Sunday should inspect the Styx track to Grassy Flat on the Browning Pass route. It was decided that a gramophone donated by Mr and Mrs T. Eennett, of Christchurch, should be kept at Renton Hut at Grassy Flat, as this is much used by Canterbury and Westland trampers alike. The secretary was instructed to attach some inscription to the gramophone, requesting users to take care of it.’ It was resolved that all members who have enlisted for home defence or overseas service be granted honorary membership until they return. At present there are three members in the Special Force, four at Addington N.C.O. camp, and several others waiting to be called up for the Air Force and the Army.
