BROADCASTING RECEPTION.

i [To The EditorJ. x Sir, —I am more than f pleased to v see that “X.Y.Z.” has ab ed some of s his thoughts re our woiderful 3ZR, E

I should like to endorse his remarks and add a little more thereto. .1 should like to see a letter from every person who is dissatisfied; one hdars of hundreds, but Coasters are so meek, mild, and contented that they put up with almost anything rather than complain. If what is thought and said about 3ZR were to be printed, there wouldn’t ne enough paper to be had for the job, and it would be hard to find anyone with a sufficient flow of language to describe those who are responsible for our reception. Personally, I have had officials coming to my house for twelve years and reception now is worse than ever—so bad that even 3ZR has to be shut off although we are less than ten miles distant. When a person feels like some music they are perhaps not on the air, or one hears this blaring stale war news, or some serial that you are not interested in. I believe they should not be broadcasted at all, but left for those who want them to read. Most people can’t follow them always, and some parts are missed. In my opinion they would be best left out, at least until we have some station where we can hear some music or cheery, entertainment. I am satisfied that all that matters on the Coast is that you pay your license fee; interference doesn’t count, although there would be hundreds more listening and paying if it did. We are supposed to have a Radio Inspector. I haven’t heard of any good yet that has been done. Perhaps he doesn’t exist. At any rate, it would be interesting reading if every dissatisfied listener were to write to the papers, stating his views. It is a great pity that Uncle Mick did not carry on, and with a free hand.—l am, etc., "ALL WAVE.” Camerons.
