APPOINTMENT TO WASHINGTON CANBERRA, January 16. The Commonwealth Government has sent a request to the King to is-» sue a commission and letters of credence for Mr Casey as Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia in the United States. That will be Mr Casey’s official title, although he will be known, in short, as the Australian Minister at Washington.
