GREY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD LOAN OF £15,000 pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Grey Electric Power Board, to be held on Wednesday, January 31, 1940, at 7.30 p.m., at its offices, Mackay Street, Greymouth, a motion will be considered to confirm a Special' Order to raise £15,000, for the purpose of providing additional money for the further reticulation of the Grey Electric Power District, the rate of interest not to exceed £4/5/- per centum per annum, for a period not exceeding 25 years, and is to be secured by a usual special (security) rate, in this case of .0927 pence in the £ on the capital value. . A copy of the resolution is deposited at the Public Office of the Local Authorities in the district, and is open for inspection by the public for at least twenty-one days immediately preceding the 31st. of January. No money shall be borrowed in accord ance with the resolution if, before the day fixed for the confirmation of the resolution, not less than five per cent, of the total ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the ratepayers’ rolls of the several constituent districts within the Grey Electric Power District, by writing under their hands, delivered or sent by post to the office of the Grey Electric Power Board at Greymouth, demand a poll to be taken on the proposal.
