NEGLIGENT DRIVING. PLEA OF GUILTY. DUNEDIN, September 7. At the Magistrate’s Court at Cromwell to-day, Mr. H. J. Dixon, S.M., took the Lower Court hearing of a charge against Allan James Edwards, aged 19, of negligently driving a motor car and causing the death of William Andrew Mutimer, aged 19. The charge arose out of a motor collision near Cromwell on Easter Monday last, which resulted in eight persons being injured. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, bail allowed in self £lOO, and surety of like amount. The inquest on Mutimer was conducted concurrently, and the Coroner found that death was due to multiple injuries received in an accident.
