WELLINGTON, September 5. The opinion that in view of the present international position it might be desirable to postpone the opening of the New Zealand centennial exhibition |at Wellington, scheduled for November, till a more appropriate occasion was expressed by Mr. C. A. Wilkinson (Independent, Egmont) when the estimates of the Department of Internal Affairs were under consideration in the House of Representatives to-day. ' “It was stated the other day that the exhibition would open whether war started or not,” Mr. Wilkinson said. “I think the House should discuss the position. The exhibition would be rather out of place in view of the struggle the Empire is now engaged on.” The Minister for Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E.
