Tested Recipe: BUTTER SPONGE
1 teacupful flour, 1 teacupful sugar, 1 tablespoonful butter, 3 tablespoonfuls milk, 3 eggs, 1 heaped teaspoonful baking powder. Beat eggs and sugar for 10 minutes. Sift flour and baking powder together and stir in, boil butter and milk together and stir in lightly. Bake in two tins in very moderate oven.
