AERIAL SPEED RECORD. MOSCOW, September 4. Two civil pilots claim a new speed record, averaging 253 miles per hour over a triangular course of 3102 miles. The previous record was held by the Frenchman, Rossi, at 250.6 miles per hour over a 3150 miles cruise. OLMPIC GAMES. HELSINGFORS. September 4. It is officially stated that preparations are beiner continued for the 1940 Olympic Games.
