WRESTLING

McCready and Wright NEWCOMER IMPRESSIVE DUNEDIN, August 28. Rube Wright (17.10) made his howto New Zealand wrestling fans last evening, and a packed house saw him beaten on points by Earl McCready in perhaps the hardest and toughest match seen in Dunedin this season. The American is bigger and stronger than McCready, and he showed himself an adept at chancery holds and head scissors. He wrestles tightly, and is rough in his holds, and he kept McCready working his hardest over the whole distance. There was just enough between them to justify the decision, and the Duhedin crowd will be anxious to see Wright in action again. There-were no falls, both men using tremendous strength on occasions, to fight their way- out of difficulties.
