KING'S DINNERS

WITH POLITICAL LEADERS. (Received December 10, 11.45 p.m.) LONDON, December 9. Messrs C. R. Attlee, A. Greenwood, A V. Alexander, Tom Williams, F. Marshall and J. C. Ede were the Labourite M’s.P., who dined on Thursday with the King and Earl Baldwin. It was a most homely dinner-jacket affair. Mr Attlee sat on the right of the'King, who, after coffee, followed Mr Baldwin’s example and smoked a pipe, while he listened to Labour views on the nation’s affairs. The special political correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says that further parties are pending so that the King may meet other leaders.
