BIRD SANCTUARY
ESTATE LEFT TO SOCIETY. PALMERSTON N., December 9. Under the will of Mr George Allman, who died at Palmerston North on November 12, 1938, a farm property of 3 acres at Balnesse is bequeathed to the New Zealand Native Bird Protection Society, together with the whole residue of the estate subject to certain interests. The testatefr expressed the wish that, the Bainesse property should be used for all time as a sanctuary for the preservation, care, and breeding of birds indigenous of New Zealand.
