COMPANY’S APPEAL ALLOWED. AGAINST HAILE SELASSIE. LONDON, December 6. In view of Britain’s de jure recognition of the King of Italy’s Emperorship of Abyssinia, the Court of Appeal allowed the appeal of Cable and Wireless, Ltd;, against the- verdict in favour of Haile Selassie on July last, Mr. -Justice Bennett, in giving judgment in favour of Haile Selassie with costs against Cable and Wireless, Ltd., said: “I doubt whether the defendant can safely pay the plaintiff.”. He granted a stay of execution in view of an appeal. On June 30, the Court of Appeal allowed,- with costs, the appeal of Haile Selassie against the dismissal of his claim for £10,613- against Cable and Wireless, Ltd. The Master of the Rolls, Sir W. A.
