Dawson’s commenting on the wool sales, .says: A large proportion of merinos somewhat severely tested the markets’ absorbing power, at rather a critical time, Happily, there was no serious decline in values, although some irregularity. The manufacturers covered their urgent requirements, but doubtless will want further stocks in the New Year. Government orders assisted the demand for crossbreds. SYDNEY, December 8. The Sydney wheat market is slow, with a stronger undertone. Silo grain is quoted at 2s 62d and bagged at 2s 7-ld.
