Seas (N.Z. waters): Slight to moderate in coastal waters on much of the east coast, but otherwise rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman-Sea: Strong winds from between west and north, reaching gale force in the central and southern portions. Seas rough to high in the southern portion; elsewhere rather rough to rough. Weather changeable, and with rain at times in most districts, but more especially the western- ones. Some scattered heavy falls and thunder are probable. Temperatures moderate to mild.
