Jack thanked the Mihisitefr on behalf of the deputation, hoping that something would be gained by such a friendly discussion. The Minister stated, he would certainly do his best. One point worthy of note was a statement made by the Minister, in effect, that the farmers were entitled to the same consideration, as the industrial workers. One must agree with the Minister’s statement, and giving thiej farmers the same consideration as the industrial workers will give them more faith in the. Labour Government, and at the next election should go a long way to win more of the farmers to the side of Labour. One could certainly expect the industrial workers to agree with this. It should play a very important part in .uniting 'the farmers with the Trade Uunon Movement. The Hon. P. C. Webb and party were the guests of the Hon. W. H. Mclntvrer'and Mrs Mclntyre during theib stay at Millerton. Hon Mr Mclntyre then accompanied the Ministerial party to Stockton. Mrs Sharmart 'has returned to Millerton after a holiday at Christchurch.
