FRENCH STRIKERS
AT SEAPORTS. PARIS, December 4. The authorities have arrested two secretaries of the Seamen’s Union, and issued a warrant for a third official. It is believed the strike may tie up all ports. In addition to Le Havre, Boulogne, Bordeaux, and Dieppe and already affected. The Le Havre dockers and seamen strikers exceed 5000. Over 20 steamers are held up. VALENCIENNES, December 2. The police arrested Albert Thomas, trade union leader, after a chase at Denain, in which it is alleged Thomas threw paving stones. It was a sequel to a free fight when 5,000 tried to prevent the workers resuming. It is alleged that Thomas was responsible for the metal workers’ strike. PORT STRIKERS STILL OUT. (Independent Cable.) (Received December 5, 11.40 p.m.) PARIS, December 5. The seamen at Le Havre voted for a continuation of their strike. They have sent a committee to Paris to ask the Minister of Marine, Viscount Chappedelaine,' to withdraw the warrants against the strike leaders. Thirteen cargo boats are held up in Boulogne, as the result of the dockers’ strike, which was declared when the owners refused to reinstate nine dockers who struck on November 30. ,
