ARGO. The Argo dredge return was 73 ounces, for 133 hours’ work and 14,000 yards of material treated. BUNDI. To the 30th November the Bundi Tin .Dredging Company’s,., dredge, worked 97 hours treating 9948 cubic yards for a recovery of .65 ounces 15 dwt s Bgrs. ... ; . ALEXANDER. The Alexander Mines Limited returns for month of Nevember, 1938 are; —Battery Department: 405 tons of ore crushed for 183ozs 2dwts of melted gold. Cyanide Department: 243 tons of sands treated for 41ozs. lOdwts of bullion. Total .estimated value: £1,520. In addition:' 10.5 tons of concentrates Were saved valued at £375. (In estimating the. above, values gold has been taken at 140 s per fine ounce). No. 6 Level: No. 1 Crosscut: Advanced 10J feet making a total distance of 531 feet from the main drive. Work suspended as country was unfavourable. No. 2 Crosscut. Boulder of quartz found in this crosscut has been driven on 13ft in the south end in south-easterly direction. Stone still continues to lie fairly flat and shows good values. No. 5 Intermediate. Stoping in progress in south end of this level. Average width of reef is 30 inches. Stoping in North end continues on reef averaging 48 inches. 90 tons of stone sent to the battery for the week. One days work was lost during the wefek through the storm blowing a tree down across the power line.
