CHILDREN MUTINY

REFORMATORY SCENE. PARIS, October 14. Children in a reformatory at Chevallon le Voreppe, near Grenoble, were refused extra wine and three hours’ leave during the afternoons. Sixty-five of them—aged from 10 to 18—mutinied. They smashed the. windows ' with saucepans, got out of the building, and made for the mountains. But liberty is not just one round of pleasure. The children became tired. And, when police rounded up a band of 20 of tht younger children, the runaways were thankful to climb into a lorry and go back to the reformatory. More children were rounded up. After a roll call it was found that eight of the older children were still missing. Police are searching for them.
