REEFTON-STILLWATER ROAD.

[To the Editor.] Sir,—l have travelled in many parts of the South Island and have never struck such roads, as the road from Reefton to Stillwater. It is a perfect disgrace to those who are in charge as there are potholes that will need bridging. I have been through three of four times this last 12 months, and I don’t think there has been a load of gravel put on the road, bar a few loads tipped on at Totara Flat, which they evidently forgot to spread. I hear the Minister of Public Works is to pay us a visit. I hope he will take a ride in a Public Works lorry and see the road asjt is seen and felt by motorists. Hoping this will draw the attention of the ones supposed to be in charge, I am etc. MOTORIST.
