OTTAWA AGREEMENT

Page, last night, was the guest of honour at the Goldsmiths’ dinner, Referring to the Commonwealth’s case for a revision of the continuation of Ottawa agreements, he said there was more British capital invested in Australia than anywhere in the world. Australia was Britain’s most regular payer of loan ■interest. Her sinking fund in the last six months actually reduced the outstanding interest, while the Commonwealth. in the first three months of 1938, was the greatest importer from Britain, and the second greatest exporter to her.
