W.F.A. MEETING. Mr F. M Smythe presided at the weekly meeting of the Westland Football Association last evening, when there were also present Messrs G. Craig, W. Bowman, J. Paton, W. Paton, and the secretary (Mr D. Warns). The Canterbury Football Association wrote asking for a game with them at Christchurch on the King’s Birthday holiday, June 6. It was decided to accept the invitation, and the secretary was instructed to communicate with the secretaries of clubs asking for nominations of players willing to travel. The New Zealand Association advised that the Chatham Cup competition would be held again this year, the entry fee being £1 Is, entries closing on May 15. The matter was held over in the meantime. Waluta advised that they were unable to travel to Greymouth during the coming week-end.
