[Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, March 11. The weather report and forecast are-as follows:—

General situation: An anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covers the South Tasman Sea, and extends on to the South Island, but pressure is falling slightly to the north and east. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong between south-west and south-east, reaching gale force in places, but decreasing gradually to-morrow. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rather rough to rough generally, but decreasing to-morrow, especially about the South Island.

Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly winds, slight to moderate seas. Weather cloudy to overcast in the eastern districts, and later in the far north, with showers or misty rain at many places. Improving to-morrow, especially over the South Island. Temperatures cook
