Cable Assn.] (Received February 10, 8 p.m.) LONDON, February 10. Replying in the House of Commons to a Labour member, who asked a question dealing with the work of the League of Nations, Rt. Hon. A. Eden (Foreign Secretary) said that twenty-five international disputes of a political character had been referred to the League during the years prior to January Ist, 1931. All of these except; one had been settled, either by the League Council or by direct negotiations between the parties. Fifteen disputes had been submitted to it since January Ist, 1931, of which eight had been similarly settled. (Received February 10, 9.20 p.m.) LONDON, February 10. The "News Chronicle’s” Berlin cor respondent says: Doctor Staege, ths Chairman of the Berlin Nazi Jurists' League, is the counsel officially chosen to defend Rev. Dr. Niemoller. ' VIENNA, February 7. Captain Von Papan (German Ambassador) has returned to his post here. He paid a visit to Hitler. It is believed that he was informed the Foreign Office changes at Berlin will not affect Germany’s policy to j Austria.
