In 37 Towns FPer Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 8. “Building under the State housing scheme is now going forward in 37 towns,” said the -Parliamentary Under-Secretary in Charge of Housing (Mr J. A. Lee). He said that there were 1,226 houses under consrtuction, and at the end of last month, close on 2,500 houses uad been advertised. Men directly employed on housing construction totalled 3,224, but the number directly and indirectly employed was approximately 6,500.
