RUGBY, February 9. t iAjeked whether the Government still adhered to its policy of partition in Palestine, the Colonial Secretary told, the Commons that it still did so, but until the mandadate was amended by the League Council, it could not be altered by any Act of the British.. Government. Mr. Ormsby Gore added that the Government regarded the policy of partition as the best means of Jmplementing the proposed establishment of a Jewish national home in Palestine. Acts of terrorism would not deter the Government from further enquiries, necessary to prepare a de-] finite scheme.
