The weather forecast is as follows: General situation: The recent anticyclone is passing eastwards off the Dominion, and shallow depressions are located respectively over the western and northern portions of the Tasman Sea, and these are advancing slowly eastwards. Forecast: Winds north-easterly to northerly, light to moderate generally, but gradually freshening. Seas in New Zealand waters, slight to moderate, but later rising north of East Cape. Eastern Tasman Sea: East to northeasterly winds in the northern portion, and northerly to westerly winds in the southern; the force being moderate, but freshening somewhat. Seas moderate. Weather: Some isolated, misty ram is probable in the far northern and north-eastern • portions of the North Island; otherwise, weather fair, wArm and humid at first, but clouds are gradually increasing, and later more general rains are developing in the northern half of the North Island, and scattered falls also in the western and far. southern parts of the South Island. ■
