The Rata arrived early yesterday l morning from New Plymouth, to load coal for Tarakohe and New Plymouth, and sailed last evening for Tarakohe. The Kakapo sailed early yesterday morning for Auckland and Portland. The Kartigi left Wellington at 10.30 o’clock Tuesday night with cargo for Greymouth. After discharge this morning she will load for Miramar and Wellington. The Hokitika left Wellington Tuesday night with cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika, via Westport, and is due here to-morrow morning. She will sail for Hokitika to-morrow. The Karepo is expected to leave Kioreroa to-morrow for Greymouth and will load here on Monday for Auckland and Portland. The Kauri is due Wednesday next to load timber for Melbourne and Adelaide. The Alexander is due about February 16, to load timber for Port Waikato. The James Cook left Eden (Australia) last week for Dunedin, Lyttelton and Greymouth with hardwood poles. She is due here about February 15.
