COAST CENTRE MEETING. , At a meeting of the West Coast Swimming Centre last evening, Mr G. Walters presided. It was decided to take the times at the West Coast championships at Keefton as the official record times. The president gave notice to move at the next meeting of the Centre that the West Coast Centre is prepared to undertake the organisation of all educational tours by New Zealand or overseas swimmers. It was decided to apply to the New Zealand Council for inclusion in the proposed tour of the Canadian swimmers. It was decided to write to the Nev/ Zealand Council for an official ruling concerning the take-off board, also Concerning the- matter of finishing boards or ropes at other than the end of the baths, and if it was a rope that details of the size and covering (if any) be supplied. ft was decided that clubs be informed that they must apply for permission to hold carnivals and that power be given to the president and secretary to grant permission. The secretary was instructed to remind clubs regarding the payment of 2i per cent, of the gross gate takings to the Centre, and also that affilia tion fees should be paid as soon as possible. .
