UMPIRE FLYING BOATS AUSTRALIAN CRITICISM. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] SYDNEY, December 13. Mr Hudson Eysh, managing director of Quantas Airways, Ltd., who arrived at Darwin from England after conferences with officials of Imperial Airways, criticised the T ederal Government for - failure to proviue even temporary facilities to enable tne Empire flying-boat service to begin next month. The Minister for Defence, Mr HV. Thorby, declared tnat Mr fysh's complaint was groundless. On cne contrary tile conunonwoalth tjovernment had nonoured its obligations with the British Government. He added that negotiations so tar had been most complicated. Extensive survey work had been earned ou. and the Commonwealth was still awaiting a complete schedule of the ground organisation from the British Government. JEAN BATTEN LONDON, December 13.
