VALENCIA BOMBARDED. BARCELONA, December 13. Rebel warships bombarded Valencia but the damage is unknown. MR ATTLEE’S VISIT EXPLANATION ACCEPTED. LONDON, December 13. Mt Attlee, referring to Mr Liddal’s motion of censure on him for his statements in Spain, said in the House of Commons that the motion was inspired by an inaccurate newspaper report and attacked his honour in tabling it in his absence, which was unprecedented. His signed undertaking did not prevent an expression of view’s regarding the loyalists and insurgents. He made no excuse and ijp apology. The House, on Mr Chamberlain’s suggestion, accepted the explanation. Mr Liddal withdrew his motion.
