SLIPPERY WINS HANDICAP. [Per Press Association.] WOODVILLE, December 13. There was line, though showery, weather for the second day of the Woodville J.C. meeting. There was a large attendance. The track was in excellent order. The totalisator handled £12,461 10s, as against £9381 last year, an increase of £3OBO 10s, and for tne meeting £27,479 as against £20,621 10s last year, an increase of £6875 10s. FLORENCE MILLS SCRATCHED. AUCKLAND, December 13. Florence Mills was scratched at 9 a.m. to-day for the Auckland Racing Club Railway Handicap. KUMARA R.C. MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Kumara Racing Club, Mr J. Gilbert presided. The report and balance sheet showed the year had not been as successful as could have been wished. This was attributed to the adverse weather conditions experienced on Easter Monday last. Referring to the death of Mr G. Burger, the chairman said the late Mr Burger had been a steward of the club for many years, and had rendered valuable services. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr J. close to-night with the Secretary, Mr. W. Pring. Presentations: The driver of the winner, Logan Palm, of the B. P. McMahon Memorial Handicap at the Reefton Trots on Saturday, J. R. Simpson, received a gold-mounted whip, donated by the President, Mr. R. Cook. A. Holmes, owner-driver of Ace Pot in the Lawry Memorial, received a similar trophy donated by Mr. S. Newcombe. The Amalgamation: In consequence of the amalgamation of the Greymouth and Hokitika Trotting Clubs, Mr F. McGregor has been appointed as vice-president, and Messrs J. J. Breeze, M. Houston, E. W.
