ENDOWS ECONOMIC STUDY. (Received December 13, 8.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 13. Mr Alfred Sloan, junr., has announced that he is endowing a foundation for economic research with securities valued at ten million dollars, one third of which is common stock in General Motors. Mr Sloan said that the specific purposes of the foundation were the promotion of a wider knowledge of basic economic truths, and a better understanding of economic problems.
