It is stated that the trawler Alfie Cam made a satisfactory catch off the New Zealand coast, which included a good variety of fish not abundant in Australian waters. MELBOURNE, November 28. Bush fires have been conquered and all danger to Mount Macedon homes is now past, thanks largely to a change of wind. SYDNEY, November 28. At the Henley on the Yarra regatta on Saturday, the New South Wales police crew won the main event, the Grand Challenge senior eights, by two lengths from the Richmond and Mercantile crews. Constable H. Turner, of Sydney, won the Yarra Challenge Cup and Silver Sculls.
