MAJOR DOUGLAS. REPORTED VISIT TO N.Z. AUCKLAND, August 19. A report, from Wellington has been published this week that Major Douglas of London, was likely to visit New Zealand at an early date. . This has occasioned considerable surprise among the supporters of _the Douglas social credit movement in i New Zealand. The movement has made no suggestion to Major Douglas that he should come to the Dominion, nor has it had any suggestion from him that he was contemplating a visit. “As far as I know, the report of his prospective visit is false,” said Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P., Dominion President of the Douglas social credit movement, when interviewed. “I had a cable from Major Douglas on other matters on Tuesday, and there was no suggestion in that cable that he had any idea of coming out here.
