AUSTRALIAN TEAM. PEARCE’S DISABLEMENT. [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] SYDNEY, August 18. The managers of the Australian Rugby League team, in a wireless message from the Arawa to the Australian Board of Control, stated that Pearce will not be able to play on the tour, but it is thought that a player to replace Pearce should not be sent. The managers added that both Gibbs and Prigg will be fit to play, at the commencement of the tour in England. The Board, to-night, will decide whether another player will be sent.
