(Our Own Correspondent). REEFTON. August IS Mr. M. Waddell, junr, who went to Christchurch to have an injured eye attended to by an expert was num to leave hospital there on Sunday. His many Reefton friends will, however, regret to learn that he has lost the sight of the eye. Most of those Reeftonites who spent National week in Christchurch have returned Dr. Wieken Messrs Irving, Eklund, and Downey returned by Monday evening’s train and all report that the sport at both the C.J.C. and trotting races was very interesting indeed. Nurse I Mclntosh, left this morning for Westport, where she resumes duty in the Westport Hospital,- after three months spent at the Christchurch Hospital. The following is the Golf Club draw for a bogey and ringer match To play on Friday:—Miss Costelloe v. Mrs. Wieken, Mrs. Prentice v. Mrs Duff, Mrs Findlay v. Mrs. Paterson, Mrs. Kane v. Mrs. Eklund, Mrs. McVicar v. Mrs. Yellowless, Mrs. Burst v. Mrs. Wells; to play on Saturday: Miss King v. Mrs. Prentice, Miss Farrell v. Mrs. Duff. The winner of the ladies’ four-ball match were Mes•dames Prentice v. McVicar. The following is the draw for the flight tourney to be played by 22nd instr— Miss Kane v. Mrs. Cereseto, Mrs. Crossman v. Miss Peters, Miss Blackmore v. Mrs. Morris, Miss McVicar v. Miss Watson.
