MEN BURNED
BLASTING POWER EXPLODED. BY CIGARETTE ASH. TIMARU. August 17. Two men, William Rose and William Gould, both 19 years of age were extensively burned abo>* the face when a box of blasting powder exploded. The men who were engade in blasting trees at Hazelburn, when one flick the ash from a cigarette, and about 14 pounds of powder exploded. Bolh were taken to hospital. They are making good progress.
