SUDDEN DEATH

INQUEST ON INSURANCE MANAGER. [Per Press Association], AUCKLAND, August 16. A verdict that death was due to the bursting of a blood vessel in the head was returned by Mr Hunt, Coroner, at an inquest on Oliver Earl Thomas, aged 49, who was found dead at his home at Remuera on Sunday. 1 Thomas was Field Manager for the Auckland Branch of the Australasia Temperance and General Mutual Life Assurance Society. Evidence was given that Thomas was last seen working in the garden on Saturday afternoon. He had been ill for some time. It is believed that he must have collapsed on entering the house, while moving from a bedroom to the bathroom. A friend, who had an appointment with him on Sunday afternoon, found him lying dead in the passage. His wife is absent in Melbourne.
