CATHOLIC ISLANDERS. FEAR PROSELTYSM. (Received August 13, 10.40 p.m.) BELGRADE, August 18. Two hundred Czechs of the Orthodox faith, led by a Bishop, were pelted with tomatoes, eggs, and stones when they attempted to land on a Dalmatian Island, where the report had been circulated that the Bishop, with two hundred priests, was coming forcibly to baptise all of the Roman Catholics there into the Orthodox Church. When their ship attempted to berth, the islanders cut the mooring ropes, and the excursionists were forced to retire.
