Woman’s Death CAR DRIVER CHARGED. AUCKLAND, August 12. Frederick Nicholas Lindblom, aged 37, an electrician, was committed to the Supreme Court for trial on a charge of negligently driving a motor car on the Great South Road, on May 9, thereby causing the death of Ivy Cavenett. The evidence showed that a party of four, after attending a Saturday night card party and dance, drove to Ellerslie for supper in a car driven by Lindblom. When approaching a tramcar, Lindblom appeared to lose control of the car and a head-on collision resulted. Mrs Cavenett died later in hospital. The husband of deceased, Wil’ziam George Cavenett, a war said that his wife left home saying she was going to a dance. Lindblom pleaded not guilty, and was committed for trial. On a charge of driving without a license, Lindblom was fined £1 and costs.
