RISE IN WAGES
British Railwaymen TO PRE-CUT LEVEL. TAust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.l (Received August 12 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, August 12. The British railwaymen’s pay is to be advanced to the 1931 wages level by a restoration of the balance of the crisis cut. The cost to the companies would be two and a'-half millions sterling a year, but this is being passed on to the public in the form of increased fares and goods rates.
