RUMANIA’S MYSTERIOUS TROUBLE. LONDON, August 11 Owing to the censorship, little news is available about the crisis supposedly accountable for King Carol’s sudden return on Monday to Bucharest, after his European tour. He instantly conferred nightlong with Premier Tatarescu, who, according to the “Daily Mail’s” Vienna correspondent, offered his resignation, which King Carol would not accept. Cabinet’s position will be determined to-day. , , It is suggested that the Fascist Iron Guard has consolidated its strength during King Carol’s absence. Another story is of serious German bribery to obtain military secrets, involving Government members.. It is suggested that the Iron Guard is trying to curb Madame Lupescu’s influence with King Carol, who favours stronger measures to check the Iron Guards. Troops are reported to be standing by ready for any emergency.
