BASKETBALL
WEST COAST ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the West Coast Basketball Association there were present: Misses M. E. Ray (president), M. A. Gardner, P. Kerins, M. Tennent, M. Hill and E. Rohloff (secretary). Miss S. McSherry wrote tendering her resignation as a member of the Executive, which was accepted with regret. The Y.W.C.A., Auckland, advised that they were unable to accommodate the representative team. The N.Z. Basketball Association advised that the third grade of the Dominion Tournament would comprise the following teams: West Coast, Nelson, Horowhenua, Te Kawau, Hawke’s Bay Minor, Bush, Wairoa, Wanganui, North Auckland. The first section of the B Grade Competition being completed (except for 'the Technical B v. Cobden C.O.G. A fixture) permission was granted to teams to arrange friendly games for Saturday next.
