To-day the New Zealand Hockey team played the Sydney Metropolitan earn at ‘the Hurstville Oval Manager Grade described the Metropolitan teams as the best his men have nlaved in Australia. The Sydney Metropolitan team won by four goals to two. Both of New Zealand s goals weie scored by Roughton. The outstanding New Zealanders were Robertson and Clark. ' The Hurstville Council gave a reception for the New Zealanders, and provided them with a motor tour of the south coast. SYDNEY MEN’S TOURNEY. SYDNEY, August. 10; The Men’s Hockey Championships were continued to-day. The match, Queensland versus Western Australia, resulted in a draw, neither scoring. South Australia defeated Tasmania by four goals to nil. ‘New South Wales drew with Victoria, each side scoring one goal.
