STALIN'S PURGE. IN CAUCASIA. fAust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] MOSCOW, August 6. Eigteen Trotskyist spies, terrorists and wreckers, were executed at Paitikorhk, in Caucasia, after being found guilty by a military court, of setting fire to the municipal buildings and wrecking the railways. The campaign against Jews, Christians and Mohammedans, has been intensified owing to fhe approach of the elections under M. Josef Stalin’s new constitution and charges of espionage have been levelled against them. The newspaper “Izvestia,” under the headline “Spies in Priests’ Robes," states that the different sects are riddled with spies.
