MEN’S QUALIFYING ROUNDS. The qualifying rounds for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Men’s Championships, were decided at the Kaiata links yesterday under excellent conditions. The following players qualified in each division: — Senior—B. W. Caulton 82, 84, 166; J. E. A. McKeefrey 87, 88, 175; P. Warnes 86, 90, 176; Dr. Ray 86, 92, 178; Dr. Fitzgerald 95, 86, 181; C. Plimmer 91, 90, 181; A. B. Baird 87, 95, 182; B. Jones 94, 92, 186; W. Allan 93, 93, 186. The last two players are to play off under medal rules for eignth place. Intermediate.—l. H. The John Burns Cup for the best net score returned in the two qualifying rounds of the Senior and Intermediate divisions, was won by J. E.. A. McKeefrey, whose aggregate was 175 less 34—141, and Bullock Lade Cup for the best net score in both rounds of the Junior division goes to S. McDonnell, whose cards read 212 less 72—140.
