N.Z. LABOUR PARTY

GREYJVIOUTH BRANCH. Mr P. O’Farrell (president) was in the chair at the monthly meeting of the Greymouth Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party last evening. There was a large attendance of members. One new member was proposed, and much routine business was transacted. It was pointed out by members that whereas Cobden had been included in the Westland Electorate under the revised boundaries, because it was part of the Borough of Greymouth, only half of the Brunner Borough was left in the electorate. It was decided that steps be taken to protest against the division of Brunner in this i manner. The following syllabus was drawn up: September, open meeting; October, Mr Doyle; November, Mr Kent; December, Mr McKane. Mr James O’Brien, M.P., who was present at the meeting, gave a resumee of the reception accorded lhe Prime Minister at Wellington on his return from the Imperial Conference, and of forthcoming legislation.
