Regains Record FOR ATLANTIC CROSSING.. 30 X KNOTS PER HOUR. (Received August 2, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, August 2. The French Shipping Line has announced that the super-liner, “Normandie,” has regained the record for the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. The “Normandie” set new figures in her crossing from Bishop Rock to the Ambrose Light, New York. Her average speed was 30.58 knots per hour.
