THE WEATHER
(Per press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 28. The weather report, aud forecast are as follows:—
■General situation: Pressure is very lighlti to the east, but, an extensive complex depression covers the Tasman Sea and is advancing eastwards. Forecast; AVimdts variable at first in the Cook Strait area; (otherwise northeasterly to northerly prevailing, mod', era’te to strong generally, and rising to gale force in places; later backing to westerly and in places temporarily to south-westerly. .Seals (N'.'Zi waters):' Rough north of East Gape and becoming rough soon also between East Cape and Banks I’teninsula. Elsewhere., slight to moderate. but gradually rising. Eastern. Tasman Sea; Moderate to .strong north-east tlo. north winds of gale force in the northern portion, backing shortly to westerly or southwesterly. Sea s rough in the northern portion, and .miod'erate, but later rising in the southern portion. Weather; Warm, humidi and unsettled, with mist or log in places. Fairly general rain probable, with some heavy falls, especially in ‘-he coastal districts.
