WRESTLING
TO-NIGHT’S CONTEST. Tiic first wrestling contest of the Grevinouth season, will be staged at the Town Hall to-night between King Elliott (N.Z.) and Joe Woods (U.S.A.), and a solid exhibition of good striaght wrestling is assured. Amateur preliminaries have been arranged as follows; —p. Featherston v. R. Smith; J. Blanchfield v. J. Edwards; P. Peters v. C. Al eLean. MEHRINGER v. ZAHARIAS. NELSON, June 12. Pete Alehringer defeated Chris Zaharias. on points, after a fair lout, which went the full distance. Li'ieh scored a fall, the former in the ihl’d round, with a flying tackle ami dump and Zaharins in the sixth with back slums.
